About
History Day is a highly regarded academic program for elementary and secondary school students. Each year students choose historical topics related to a theme and conduct extensive research analyzing the historical significance of their topic.
Students’ work is presented in a variety of forms and is entered for competition at the county level in hopes of advancing to the state and even national level.
History Day is a way to teach history that also makes a difference in all subject areas. National evaluation of History Day finds that students who participate in the program perform better academically than their peers.
